Tuesday Night Blind Tasting (Bin 75): Tasted blind. Sweet & sexy in a Gevrey kind of way. Structured tannin. Young. I called it '13 Fourrier Gevrey VV.

Blind. Some stem, some herbal tone, plentiful purple and dark fruit with earthiness. Very good weight and quite ready. 2013 Gevrey 1er? Quite interesting to find the vintage answer, an underrated wine. 92

The Return to the Ledbury (The Ledbury, London): Its been a long time since we had a 2005 burg that was not massive or rough or a bit of everything and we felt the softer side of MstD definitely lends well to a big vintage like 2005. Savory wine at this stage and definitely in a well secondary stage, made with a light hand so the 2005 vintage does not over dominate the wine and really has a beauty to it across. elegant and with a class and albeit we are lovers of softer vintages in Burgundy this performed impressively well. 92-93 adn has another 10 years easy.

(Lambrays Morey St.Denis Les Loups) A soft and yet tight nose - giving little away. Mouth-filling and perfectly ripe in a slightly confiture way. But its like a comfy armchair you can sink into.

Brief taste. Dark ripe fruit. Fully mature and would be enjoying now based on this bottle. A-

I liked this wine, although wouldn’t pay current market ask for it. A bit ripe.
