Definitely aged, definitely dry, went better with food than without, meaning I struggled to put it in my mouthwithout first taking a bite of beef roast. Charming and tertiary qualities, I'll throw it a bone and give it 90 because it's Christmas.

Best bottle yet by a mile. Still showing loads of tar on the nose but the wine is finally entering a beginning drinking window. Rich and dense on the palate. A powerful wine.

Leather, earth, spiced cherry, and a touch of VA, though not off-putting. Tannins still profound. Enjoyable, though not a standout at a tasting of 10 aged Barolos.

Monthly Tasting Group: Barolo & Barbaresco (Nolo's Kitchen, Mpls): Medium red color. Decanted for 2 hours, drank 1 glass over 90 minutes plus. The nose is pretty light, there is some leather, subtle earth and that builds a bit, wood spice, red fruit. The palate has a lot of acid, soil, tangy cherry, mineral, the tannins pick up grip as this sits, some sharpness to the back end that seems woody.

(Camerano Barolo Cannubi San Lorenzo) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very pretty and elegant; if tough not to love this sour cherry meets soil meets a little ham; PALATE-this is very young and very well made; I like this effort; it's tight, but nice bitter tannins; excellent wine; should cellar for 7-10 years; great with food; love this wine; great for those Old World fans; W&S-93; ID-93; GV-92+
(Camerano Barolo Cannubi San Lorenzo) Dark red violet color with pale meniscus; oak, menthol, licorice, cherry nose; oak, tart cherry, dried cherry, menthol, tannic palate; long finish

2 hour decant. This needs food due to high tannins and acid. I can appreciate the complexity here, but it isn't very satisfying.
