92% cab sauv, 8% merlot. Drinking superbly right now, at or maybe just slightly past peak. Highly recommend with the caveat that it is time to drink up any remaining holdings - no further upside expected to further cellaring and I do expect this to start fading a bit over the next few years. Had at our wine club tasting that Kim & I hosted 7/19/22 in Hickory NC at restaurant BOCA in a flight with 3 other high end '95 CA cabernet dominant wines. We did not know much about this and were very surprised and impressed at not only how good this was but how incredibly well it has held up. We recently obtained 2 of these bottles as part of a much larger cellar contents purchase. Reddish purple, peripheral bricking present, fully integrated, soft mouth feel, medium - full bodied, oak & soft tannins still detectable but very soft and fully integrated making the wine soft, supple and elegant. Good fruit core present with a lovely medium length aftertaste. Nose soft, dark and complex with dark fruit, black cherry, smoke, anise and a very clear and totally unexpected hint of sandalwood. Flavor profile primarily of secondary flavors with plum, cassis and raspberry up front giving way pretty quickly to leather, licorice, smoke and black tea. This was a lovely and unexpected drinking experience and stood up well in the flite to among other wines a '95 Opus.

One of the better showing of this line up of wines. Kernel and some kerosene to the nose. Waxy red and black fruit to the palate and still feels pretty tight on day 2.

Red cherries, red currants, sightly faded-cooked fruits, light cigar leaf, with distinct caramel-tootsie roll oak note still present; this is in great shape, good slightly faded purple color, but with too much RS on this. Alcohol clocks in at 13.1%! Really nice and could go 5 more years. Maybe some of the RS will drop out by then.

Excellent winer. Lots of fruit flavors, virtually no tannin, good finish, typical for appellation. Fresh and vibrant, does not appear to be gaining aged flavors, so no benefit or harm in waiting. Reasonable food matches, but just great on its own. Wish I had more.

Fragrant, soft supple tannin, medium body, the layers of cherry and black currant fruit are being overtaken by earthy leather, licorice, and herbs, with under-currants of spice and cedar.
