Beautiful fruit-forward Syrah. The wine is nicely balanced and offers up a perfectly clean nose adjoined by rather subtle but still expressive tannins. Acidity levels are very nice. A food friendly wine well worth testing out if given the opportunity.

Dark ruby color. Nose of cassis (and loads of it!), some dust, cherry yoghurt, and eucalyptus. A lot more reminiscent of a New World Cabernet than a European Syrah, actually. A distinct bitterness makes this one quite interesting to taste. Lateron, hints of cooked yolk and toffee in the nose.

Shy nose with red and dark fruit, rubber and slight florality. Fullbodied and meaty palate with some grip and balanced acidity. Good weight through the palate with notes of meat, blackpepper, rubber and oak spice. Long finish. A bit hard to relate to. Dense and intense feel, but aromatically rather mute.

Well aged, seemed to be at peak. Lots of damp deciduous forest floor notes, accented by dark fruits, musk, and dustiness. Very nice.

Not bad...surprisingly good for a Sicilian Syrah....though not exceptional...
