Wine, Steak, and Olympics (Home (Noe st)): This has been coravined for a few months. Sweet slightly earthy nose of blackberry, blueberry, tamari, and roasted mushrooms. Faint hint of brett, and faint hint of oak spice. Less bretty than the '99 Musar, but there's a little present. Medium bodied, medium alcohol, medium acid, medium minus tannins - extremely fine-grained but present. Persistent finish that seems to go to dried blueberry and leather. I really like this. Around 9.
@home Medium ruby, slightly dull, with a red rim. Developed nose of bruised blueberries, slight dog fur (brett), mixed with slight sweet baking spices (a little oak). Medium minus body, moderate alcohol, medium acid, medium extremely fine-grained tannins. Oak is not that prominent on the palate.

Sunday Family Dinner - Beef Braise and Dutraive (Home (Noe st)): Amazing nose - intense blackcurrant juice, on a savory backdrop of tamari, dog fur, soy, earth - not super intense but this does have a very fruit-driven nose with earthy complexity. I see parallels with Musar (just a little). Floral - dried flowers.
On the palate it's surprisingly light, and a bit short/thin, with nice medium acid and medium tannins - finely textured.
It doesn't really deliver on the palate, but the nose is beautiful.
