Bartlett

Bob & Kathe Bartlett started making wines after Bob graduated from UC Davis, California and moving to Maine in 1975. They soon realized that the climate would not support grapes in the cooler New England climate; so they started focusing on fruit wines. They first released wine in 1983 and became the first winery in Maine with their first 600 gallons with a modus operandi of quality over quantity; their blueberry wine soon became one of the hidden gems of Maine. Today, they produce close to 7,000 cases in a wide range of fruit wines from dessert to dry, age-worthy wines.
