12/12, good cork. Pale/medium garnet core, medium pale garnet rim - a few mahogany tints. Nose is aromatic - showing mature red fruit, florals, touch of soil and mushroom. Medium bodied, mature yet still pure red fruit, strawberries, touch of liquorice showing, fine resolved tannins, fresh acidity, good length harmonious finish. Delicious, now quite mellow, not sure there's much point in ageing too much longer.

Gave it several good shakes after opening and decanted and swirled, starting at cellar temperature. Still tons of CO2 - shaking is a must. Just lovely. Dark fruits - blackcurrant. As sweet as a NZ pinot, but with more freshness. Very young for its age and villages status. I have no idea how long this will last or improve for, but now is a great time to enjoy it.

So lovely. Dark fruit, sweet, balance. The ideal of a village wine from an unheralded vintage.

Superb showing after a decant (to disperse CO2) for a village wine from an unsung year. Fantastic balance, lush dark'ish fruit, long.
