Two out of two corks crumbled on opening. Opened for family Easter dinner but passed on it for another wine as some guests weren't sure about the taste. Will try it on day two to see how it goes.

Clearly a wine that enjoys a bit of age just like their Five Soldiers Chardonnay. The fruit has subsided but the pleasure has not. Drink over the next few years I suggest.

Still very much alive. Indeed there is little evidence of the primary fleshy fruit fading yet. For me this does not quite reach the heights because it lacks a sufficient backbone to provide the balance that I seek, but still a very attractive moreish red wine.

Wine dinner at Nook. POP. nose of dark fruit. initial taste of dark fruit, tobacco, easy tannins. no finish at all. Shut down??? (line up: 2009 Domaine Chevalier Ladoix, 2000 Gruaud Larose Bordeaux, 2004 Pahlmeyer Jayson, 2005 Seaver GTS, 2005 Rustenberg Cab Sav Barlow, 2011 Scholium Chuy Nelligan Road Ranch)

Dark red, maturity aspects --- Nose shy, some vanilla, some wood, redcurrant, hay, some mint, hint of cherries --- Palate fresh, smooth, then remarkable acidity level, sour cherry, cherries --- Finishes rather long on ash and some bark. Overall nice but questionable qpr at 35€.
