Sadly my last - has been improving every time I've tasted this wine over the past two years. 2 hour decant. Concentrated supple red currant and plum, earth, spice and uber smooth tannins. Velvety with no hint of heat in spite of its 16%. Very long. I think this has peaked now at this level of excellence - and I will certainly seek out this wine again if that's possible in the UK. Now and over the next two years. Excellent value for this quality.

As per my original note but with even more concentration and a peppery grippy edge to balance. Improving - will I have the patience to see this wine at its peak?!

Deep, dark, plummy, mocha, pepper, and such smooth tannins. This just keeps getting better and better with time. Very little heat, despite the labelled alc content. Unfortunately, this is my last one, but no regrets!

Last of my 2007s. Boy has this wine aged well. Nose of dark berries and plum. Good undertones of sandalwood, mulling spices, and smoke. Mouth is rich and rewarding. Warm glowing berry expands throughout the mouth, coating every surface. The tannins slowly ease into the picture followed by a pleasant expansion of heat. Finish is long and lingering, heat on the edge of the tongue, fruit and tannin throughout. Boy will I miss having a bottle of this around.
