  Picked 2 of these up at auction, so no idea how it was stored. Had to decant because the bottom of the cork disintegrated. The first hour was a roller coaster ride with impressions of oxidation, robitussin, very muted, menthol, and more. Then, all of a sudden it became a very interesting Sangiovese. Surprisingly still some primary impressions of cherry fruit. Impressions of cardamom and some cinnamon. It was fun to drink.

  Enjoyable birth year bottle. Needed a good 3 hrs in the decanter to come together. Tertiary with some.very fine tannins. Quite impressed.

  Auction purchase. Solid cork. Color more vibrant than I expected, especially the first couple of glasses. Despite standing up for a month, there was considerable cloudiness toward the end. Smooth. Nice balance of red fruit, acidity and tannin.
