  • I've always had a thing for Sauvignon Blanc... clean flavors, easy quaffing, great with food. And Sancerre - ooh la la! Not only the citrus (lemon in particular), but the ever so slight diatomaceous earth qualities too - seashells, sea salt, mineral. So savory and sweet, all in one delicious package. Another winner from Kermit Lynch. Would love to find more.

  • I've had tons of Sauv Blanc but never from Sancerre. Why the hell did I wait so long, this stuff rocks! Searing lemon, pear, apple, grass, steel, grapefruit pith, stone, and some light herbs. Went well with a bunch of cheeses and had a long finish. Lots of saline and crushed oyster shells on the nose and palate. Nice acidity.

  • My 1st Sancerre and all I can say is, aaahhh......Classic grapefruit, gooseberries, lemon and steel notes on the palate but just a hint of tropical fruit sneaking in and out w/green apples and maybe some apricot and pear. On the palate the entry starts out sweet but quickly followed by razor sharp acids, minerals, oster shells. Really opened my eyes to another Loire white that is just beautiful!!
