  • I was fortunate to find this on the wine list at Elizabeth on 37th in Savannah (great list, BTW). The wine has mellowed to a gorgeous, rich honeyed hue. I think we found this bottle at the right time, as the acid is on the decline but that doesn't distract from the enjoyment. Fantastic texture, tangerine/lime/lemon/apricot, honey, mineral qualities. A little light on the finish but really lovely. One to drink soon, and do it in one sitting.

  • A light honey color that seemed moderately viscous in the glass. Pineapple, pear, and green apple opened up on the nose initially, but after time a dusty wet rock smell blossomed in the glass. Initial fruit flavors on the start to mid palate of pineapple and pear transitioned nicely into a mineral/wet rock flavor on the mid palate to finish, with moderate acidity to balance out the underlying sweetness. A nice bottle, but not a QPR steal.

  • Bright yellow in colour—almost like apple juice. Nose of crushed rocks, pineapple and pear. Big mouth feel with flavours of pear and pineapple. Nice acidity with green apple and minerals on the finish. Little bit of zest from mid palate to the finish. A well structured wine.

  • A very delicious Riesling of unknown price. It was delectable to experience the emergence of the still fresh fruity, minerality with some maturity. It serves to remind me how incredible this grape really is and why I so enjoy these wines over the years.

  • An interesting contrast to the Urziger Wurzgarten Spatlese we had the night before. Not nearly as deep or explosively fruity. This was more subtle with lots of brown spices. Very good, but I'll be putting my money into the UW bottling. Enjoyed this at Tru in Chicago for Dena's birthday.
