Opened late in the evening, young and very drinkable. Served vis-a-vis the normale. this has plenty more to show, a core of olives, tar, hanged meat, black fruit galore; very fresh. Years to go. #PB#Østerbro

This is a gorgeous Côte-Rôtie, just the way they should be. A wine of great integrity, but restrained and northern. Starting to open up to secondary aromas. There are both fruit and structure for 5-7 years of further cellaring. Nice to drink now with a lot of fruit left.

Dark, purple color. Flowers, smoke and tar on the nose, cool fruit. Cool blue fruit on the palate, schiste and iron notes, tar. Tannins that still could soften further. More closed up than the 2007 Jamet. STGT.

Decanted 2 hours, drank over 4 hours. Loveley boquet with pepper, game meat, underbrush and leather. There's a more elegant side to it with flowers and fresh berries too, it's an utterly complex and seductive nose. The mouthfeel is precise with black fruits, oak is fully integrated and the tannins are very approchable. The length is super, tasty aftertaste with some spice and minerality. Stunning now.

(LES GRANDES PLACES Clusel Roch) Rhone Dear Friends, Here's an impressive wine at a very fair price for the genre. We previously offered the 2006 version of Clusel Roch Cote Rotie (to a feeding frenzy of sorts) and the 2007 has now been released. I know this sounds like retailer-speak but...wow. In my verbose opinion, this is the finest regular bottling from Clusel Roch in a long time. The 2006 is certainly excellent for its velveteen red fruit impression and sense of place but the 2007 has a nervous mineral structure that is like elegant rock mixed with the same weave of divine fruit. From a terroir-chase perspective, this wine hits the bulls-eye and it reflects its pedigree and hillside in a beautiful way. It should age for a number of years as well. Compared to Syrah grown anywhere else, this example of Clusel Roch reminds us why the Northern Rhone is unmatched for transparent and medium weight reflection of the varietal (not to mention a gorgeous bouquet of perfumed, smoky fruit that draws the taster in like a ravenous spider to its web)... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for perfumed and structured low-alcohol Syrah that could only come from this western ridge above the Rhone River. ONE SMALL SHIPMENT ONLY at this price (about the same as in France). VERY HARD TO FIND outside of Europe: 2007 Clusel Roch Cote Rotie ...oh yeah, a few of you may be interested in this as well... 2007 Clusel Roch Cote Rotie "Les Grandes Places" EXTREMELY LIMITED (less than 10 cases for the entire US market) Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Rhone7108 Rhone7109

Phenomenal wine. Immediate pepper and spices; great bouquet. Long in your mouth. Deep berries. Some tobacco. Too bad I have only one bottle!
