  2002 Siduri Cargasacchi SRH pinot WS94/RP90 (14.6%). Supposed to be mature but still with life left to the 2010-12 window. Underwhelming. Tart cherry fruit; a bit acidic. Surprisingly, a bit better day 2. RF90.

  PnP, enjoyed over 2 nights. Violet red (no age indicators). Very appealing and forward nose of musky cherries/strawberries, with asian spice(cinnamon, mainly). Rich fruit on palate, but with ample soft tannins and good acidity. Agree pg that minerals have a metalic edge, but that was okay. I love the blend of overt fruit with spicy earth when it works like this. All around great drinking wine with our without food. It has years to go.

  Started rather skunky, barnyard with a metallic edge – I suspect that there is some Brett in this wine. The Brett fortunately faded and the wine opened to show a pleasing, complex range of red and black fruits, a dark woodsiness, cola, mushroom, grilled meat and a little Asian spice. Meaty on the palate with a nice chewy consistency. The finish displayed excellent integrity with an enough acid balance and a little remaining tannin. This could go another 3-5 but that Brett is concerning.

  No offical TN taken, but she was a bit ripe and slightly unbalanced on the palate. Very tart and lacking the acidity to cut through it. I'm not a fan of this style of Pinot.
