  Deep golden color. Perfectly mature and drinking really nicely. Pot-pourri of honey, citrus, flowers and ever so slightly, petrol. Will keep the distance but probably won’t improve from here.

  A highly concentrated dry Riesling wine from the Grand Cru vineyard “Engelberg” (Dahlenheim, mainly limestone soils). Clear golden straw in color and a very aromatic nose of classic Riesling fruit, peach, orange zest and a little grassy flavor. The palate is very intense and supremely balanced with a rich and full mouth feel, a fresh and herbaceous acidity and a pure, long finish. Very enjoyable now, but it has the structure to age beautifully. (Might even gain in complexity with age.)
  
  Zeer geconcentreerde droge Riesling uit de „Engelberg-wijngaard“ (voornamelijk kalksteenbodem) in Dahlenheim/Elzas. Heldere, licht gouden kleur en een uitgesproken aromatische neus vol klassiek Rieslingfruit en aroma’s van perzik, sinaasappelschil en een tikkeltje gras. Intense, mooi uitgebalanceerde wijn, zeer mondvullend, met een kruidige en verfrissende aciditeit en een zuivere, lange afdronk. Nu al perfect drinkbaar, maar heeft voldoende structuur om nog verder te ontwikkelen (en misschien nog in complexiteit toe te nemen).
