From magnum. Delicious mature dark fruit with some fennel and black pepper notes. Good length and balance. Held to probably the zenith of its potential due to the magnum enclosure.

Similar note to my last. Dark color and an effusive nose, at least at first, but the palate is now disjointed. There are no tannins left that I can taste, just gushy fruit and barely enough acidity to hold it together. I now tastes like an over-ripe cheap syrah to me. If this is bottle variation it's unlike any I've experienced before. Purchased on release and stored in my cellar since.

No detailed notes. Cork broke but didn't crumble and there was no sign of leakage. Moderately deep garnet-red color. Lovely, moderately-complex nose of spices, leather, and hot iron. Nicely balanced on the palate with plenty of fruit and ripe, fading tannins.

(Betz La Serenne Syrah Yakima Valley) A dark, intense color. Hallmark Boushey Vineyard Syrah nose with smoke, bacon fat, and floral notes. Rich on the palate with black fruit. Hangs endlessly on the palate. An earth-shaking wine that provides both power and refinement.

This was clearly better than my last bottle. Jammy fruit still present with a smooth finish.

Rich, full bodied with smoky meaty mixed with luscious black fruit flavors. Delicious
