Huge sulfur on the nose, like sulfur smoldering in a campfire. Also some dirty socks. Really weird nose. The palate shows nome of these things, instead showing bright strawberry and cherry fruit. Some chalky minerality, with a dusty texture to the tannins. Good acids. This is nice on the palate, but stinks to high hell. Just plug the nose and drink it!

A wonferful find in this price range. We paired this bottle with Frogmore Stew. The berry and spice complexity complimeted the kielbasa, shrimp and vegetables very nicely. I would have to say that this competes with any of the California Pinots up to the $20 range. We did not experience any of the oxidation issues mentioned in a couple of the other reviews. I will add more of this wine to my cellar.

not bad/ decent value/ tart pinot noir taste - a bit fermented. Worth the price.
