This bottle got lost a bit during our dinner and was served next to the 1997 Sassicaia - the 2 wines could not be more different. This was quite tight and not showing much until the end of my glass. it was starting to open more and have more typical Sangiovese characteristics, but then it was gone and we moved on. I would like to try this again on its own and give it a more fair trial. There seems to be no hurry and it was nice with a lovely duck pasta dish.
