Some leakage from cork. Pale yellow with hints of green. Nose is melon with very faint hint of petrol. Buttery Chardonnay with nice peach and balanced acid and oak. Spousal Unit did not like: Wayery, no body, no finish.

Golden color with good acidity the light to medium bodied VV exhibited nice flintiness on a rich base. The vielles vignes wasn't offering much aroma, tasted alongside the P-M PC Folatieres the VV was a much simpler but still solid and well made wine. Serve soon.

What a difference a year makes! Tight and reserved a year ago, this has emerged in a way that probably doesn't bode well for it's future but it's delicious now. Light gold color. Good intensity to the nose that exhibits healthy minerality combined with rich yellow fruits. Mouthfilling apple, pear and apricot fruits combined with minerality and chalk uqalities. Lovely balance, rich, lacks the elegance and complexity of the best white Burgs, but this is a village wine after all. Minerals and pears on the medium length finish. Delicious.

Regular dinner group (@ EM): Soft citrus, tropical fruits. Excellent use of good oak. Very elegant wine. Ready now, no real hurry.

Complex with a lot of good oak. Toasted almonds. Also fresh acidity. Butter and bitter. A sexy wine.
