  • Same notes as previously, maybe a bit softer.

  • Cherry, scorched earth, tar, espresso, red licorice, and an elegant finish.

  • Deep garnet. Wonderful aroma of sweet cherry, violets, orange peel, tar. On the palate the tannin is still high but resolved and fine. The acid is wonderfully high. The flavours are not quite as concentrated as expected, but it has only been opened a few minutes ago. They mirror the nose and are very elegant and attractive... long finish.

  • Served alongside roasted lamb, Peking Duck and honey-coated duck legs. Morello cherries, worn-out leathers, sotto bosco and gingerbread dominate the bouquet. After some additional aeration in the glass, also notes of plums, cloves, some amarena cherries, mushrooms, dried rose petals and raspberries. This wine is quite finely woven and treads very lightly on the palate. On the other hand I’d say that it has always been rather light-footed and elegant than being of the flamboyant sort. Fresh acidity, almost completely resolved, fine-grained tannins, medium-bodied, 13.5%, raspberries, tart cherries and other red fruits, with a touch of licorice. Very sophisticated. Medium to long-lasting finish. Drink now.

Jetzt trinken.

  • Pnp to drink with homemade lasagna. This is holding pretty well. A dark plum color with slight orange bricking. Faint aromas of dried herbs, and subtle floral notes. On the palate the tannins are polished, and are well integrated without dryness. This has vibrant acidity to cleanse the palate and fill out a finish consisting of dried herbs, orange peel, light smokiness, and black currant.

Solid now and should hold well until it hits 30.

Day 2 - remained polished though the wine was a bit dry.
