Burgundy visit, Côte de Nuits, May 2009; 5/11/2009-5/13/2009 (Burgundy, France): Tasted at Domaine with winemaker Philippe Brun who finds '07s a good, silky, easy-drinking (drink sooner rather than later) vintage -- the MSD Vergy had more spice and fruit on the nose, but also a pretty sharp palate. Hmmm, this may need to settle down.

Surprisingly elegant nose, smooth and long on the mouth, even if understated. May be the best village of the vintage I tried.
