  This wine is past its prime unfortunately. I opened and decanted for about an hour before it finally started to reveal itself. At first, it smelled like a dank, mouldy basement but after a while a small amount of fruit and a more neutral smell arrived. The fruit and the tannins are almost gone in this wine. I found the tannins more present than the fruit. This wine was probably at a peak 5 years ago. If you have one open it. Learn about the wine experience and the decay that every wine passes through.
