Monthly Tasting Group: Worldwide Chardonnay with Blast of Chablis (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. PNP, drank 1+ glass over 40 minutes plus. In great shape, and probably drinking near peak. Tangerine, meyer lemon, spice and freshly wet stones, light toast, medium body, and nice length. This has folded together really well. I was concerned this might be pushing the window, but certainly not. Stole it on release as a solo bottle, oh well. My non-Chablis WOTN :)

Really toasty nose on the JM Boillot Champ Canet, with just a trace of minerality showing through the oak and lees. The initial palate feel is one of refreshing acid and a very buxom mouthfeel that is unfortunately marred by far too much residual sugar on the finish. This is drinkable but falls short of being refined. The flaw here is one I might expect from a new winemaker, not from a Domaine established in 1985 in their 23rd season.

floral light nose. strong grapefruit and citrus flavors, floral, and slight oak. Rich but not creamy. Slightly more acidic than I prefer. Just received. Will try again after the other bottles settle down. (Doris 89)

More balanced since last May, 2011 and integrated. Delicious citrus, floral and minerals. (Doris loved this wine)
