Soft and ready after a few minutes of air. Dark-fruited palate, with plums, soft blackberry and some black currant notes, the palate is round and smooth and cohesive, the tannins resolved and the acidity still lifted. This was serviceable and enjoyable, but not especially complex or special. Good. In the Berkshires, with grilled lamb.

Pop and pour. Notes from 1 hr open. This was fantastic, and much better than my last bottle. On the nose: Gevrey earth, black cherry, plum, leather, and then more earth. On the palate, lovely acidity, spicy red and black fruit, leather, more earthy notes. Completely attenuated tannin on the spicy, earthy finish. Yum!

Quite a deep colour; rich and concentrated on the palate, with slightly cooked fruit of raspberry, redcurrant and dark cherry. Good length. Fully ready, but not old. My last bottle of what has been, mostly, an excellent wine.

This is quite full and rich, with mature dark fruit flavours and a slight bitterness which may be because of its age. Still very good, but needs drinking.

Nose of fertilizer but great bright cherry palate with a iron-y mineral underpinning. Good power here, drank better & better over 3 hours.
