Opened one hour in advance. Needed all that time, and more. Aroma of baking spices and green leaves. Earthy cherry flavor, loamy finish. This does open up eventually, and shows the classic Chinon Cab Franc profile, but doesn't go far beyond that. Very basic, very good.

What a killer nose. A hint of bell pepper, smoky notes with tobacco. Beautiful blackberry intermixed with violets. The palate is also very elegant. Light and almost austere, it flows on your palate. Does not have the depth or weight of Matthieu other vineyards but this is really beautiful.

Much greener than the Clos Guillot that I had last week, and less fruit forward. This is less approachable and still rather closed at the moment.

Minerally and delicious. Beautiful barnyard flavors. Lemon, hay, fall leaves.

No tasting notes, but I will say that the wine benefited from decanting - the tannins softened out and the wine became less harsh.
