  Mute nose at first. I wondered if it was slightly corked but I don’t think so. A sulky bottle. Nose never really does anything. Flavour is a bit better, gravy, red fruits. Bit of tannin. Solid, weighty but struggles a bit to get out of the glass. All the right elements but didn’t quite singon the night.

  Middels dyp rød med rustrød kant. Behagelig, moden frukt på duft med en innslag av skogsbær og et lite hint av einer og krekling. Saftig munnfølelse, en ganske slank rhône men allikevel med god konsentrasjon og rik smak av modne bær; som en perfekt komposisjon av bjørnebær, markjordbær, blåbær og krekling, med en klype vanilje, myk lakris og anis. Tanninene er nesten helt avslepne, syren lekent tilstede. Meget behagelig og med lang, varm og bløt finish. Matcher det milde, sødmefulle elgekjøttet helt perfekt!

  Loved this, really come into its own. Two years ago it was solid but now real sauvage character, bacon, herbs, meat, gravy as well as red fruit. Good acidity, not dense, but lovely complexity. Really coming into its own. I've always thought around 12 years is about optimal for most cote rotie. They will age and last longer than that but not sure they improve further. Superb now.
