Discrete nose, earthy, some licorice, quite reserved. The palate is elegant and medium-light, again on the brown/earthy side. This is a lovely, tamed wine, good with food but not nearly as exciting as the 2010/2012 of this producer.

Confrerie Burgundy Trip – Day 2 (Gevrey-Chambertin/Morey-Saint-Denis): Perfumed floral first nose, then plums and raspberries. Well integrated cherries and plums palate with good balance of medium acidity and tannins. Finishes a touch hollow on the back palate with medium length.
