This improved dramatically the second day (had a glass and put it in the fridge overnight). Fairly dark copper color. Wonderful nose of yeast and oxidation along with nuts and varnish. On the palate, it is crisp and fresh with great oxidized flavors along with fruit notes of dried apricots and melons. The finish is extraordinarily complex with notes of minerals and grilled nuts. A deep and succulent wine. Amazing stuff!

Really great wine drinking perfectly now..loved the expression of jura..oxidative..quice, spice, nuts, wonderful feel on the palate, with a nice bit of acidity from the 2005 vintage..wonderful with food, and overall a wonderful balanced wine

Really oxidized but pretty nose of quince, sherry and nuts. Rich and ripe with lovely oxidized notes and flavors of clove, quince, apricots and spice. Finishes complex with a wonderful nuttiness. Tremendous with smoked chicken. This just keeps getting better as it ages.

(Jacques Puffeney Melon à Queue Rouge Arbois) Light medium lemon yellow color; intense, oxidative, nutty, VA, rancio nose; oily textured, kumquat, mineral, very tart lemon palate; medium-plus finish (Melon à Queue Rouge means "red headed melon" and is a variant of Chardonnay)

Based on previous notes, the aggressiveness of day one has been slipped, delicious and unique.
