  Cork. Decanted approximately 3 hours before lunch. A bottle from Manuel's stash. Purple colour with slight bricking at the rim. Lively nose of cherry and plenty of leather and a hint of vanilla. In the mouth the wine was surprisingly lively, with nice berry fruit still to the fore and very good balance. All in all, this wine was pretty youthful given the vintage and had that silky mouthfeel that only red Burgundy with some bottle age seems to manage. Paired nicely with roast lamb. 91 points.
