Very good classic style, so consistent over the years and so reasonably priced, 13.5% alc. Colour: red berry, dusty, slightly cloudy, somewhat translucent Bouquet: plum, cherry and black currant aromas, with eucalypt and licorice, spice Palate: blackberry, very dry, spicey, and juicy fruit, big soft tannins, slightly herbaceous, tobacco November 2017

Drinking in its prime. For such an inexpensive (and harsh wine when new) wine, its appeal on 9 years in the bottle is something else. The fruit is still strong but beautifully balanced with cherries and plums being the predominant flavours. The harsh alcohol burn of the wine when young is totally gone instead it supports the flavours.
A damn shame I only have 2 bottles left. I will definately be putting down a case of the new vintage - if its half as good its still a fantastic buy!

Simple, but tasty. Worth the sale price. A nice Shiraz blend to quaff.
