  • Lovely nose but slightly introverted. Round and pure. PC is the appropriate classification here - not super intense or long. But enjoyablecwine.

  • Lovely. Full bodied complex. Really like the 08's. Nice mix of elegance and strength.

  • Tasted 07/08 Reignots and Suchots side-by-side. Next to the Reignots, this was much more subtle and elegant but also a bit more reserved with tart cherry and baking spices notes on the nose. Good acidity as well with slightly leaner fruit profile of strawberry and tart blueberry on the palate. Good finish. A very good wine that was a bit more elegant than the Reignots but also leaner, with less intensity and depth.

  • Nose: Cherry, musk, rose petals, menthol, raspberry
Notes: still very strong and not entirely ready after 4 hours of breathing. This has a lot of life ahead of it but it seems like it is stubborn and unwilling to open up today. Having tried Lachaux's Latricieres Chambertin 2008 not long ago, the Suchots is definitely more stiff and uptight comparing to the Latricieres, at the same time it is also less sexy and expressive comparing to the Suchots 2010 from Lachaux. I must say I am a bit disappointed with the wine. I would wait for another 8-10 years before drinking or sampling this wine again. It is simply not ready for consumption at this very moment even after breathing for 5 hours. I hope I can give a better comment the next time when I cross path with this wine again.
