Turleys may be the only Charbonos in the cellar, so I may not know what I'm talking about. Don't think this is past its prime. Somewhat like a smooth shiraz. Pleasant purple fruit, nuanced, full-bodied but alcohol quite tame. Good finish.

Well balanced, nice mouthfeel, in a great place, but will not hold much longer.

Incredible value for a wine with this depth of flavor, bright fruit with a smoky finish. Light tannins but well balanced.

Solid showing. Black fruits, dusty tannins, pulled for a pot roast dinner. Nicely balanced food wine. Good now but could go a bit longer.

A bit thin and sour with hints of slated blue fruit behind. Got a bit better day 2.
