  Deep golden yellow
  
  Noble perfume of peaches, ripe pineapple, lillies of the valley, lime zest, with a touch of honey and distinct vanilla notes.Complex layered palate, resolving into a very lovely and long finish
  
  Beautifully aged,ä prime quality Chevalier, perfectly balanced, has held up extremely well since my last bottle. Just lovely.

  Wonderfully rich, fairly mature, this shows lots of stone and orchard fruit in a dense, spiced package. Great now, no further upside.

  2023 Athens Wine Event; 12/8/2023-12/9/2023 (Athens, Greece): Tasted blind. Magnificent well aged white burgundy for sure the question was how good and noise of Le Montrachet were heard from our friends. And indeed this is that level. The wine for sure feels even older and we thought it was early 2000s. Nice richness, well evolved, still an element of a lan oaky dynamic ( ruled Terran Chardonnay out) tertiary and fruit, earthy notes. Magical well aged burgundy. 95-96

  Pausing for the Cause Fundraiser and Dinner (Obelix - Chicago IL): I only gave this 10-15 minutes of air before serving, and that did this wine a disservice. Big and rich character begrudgingly emerged, this wine also lengthened and broadened as it opened up. Lots here. 93 points by the last tasted.

  Cold rainy Nite in MSP but all was good at St Genevieve tonight! This is excellent Grand Cru Chevalier Montrachet that loses a little standing in the presence of Ramonet's & Jacques Carillon Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachets on the same table though is quite fetching in its own light. While I have a preference for younger brighter whites, this showed up in excellent condition with brooding intensity and packed with layers of minerality, citrus & other mature harmonics beyond my descriptor reach. 94+
