Ett vin från ett annat århundrande. Vinet lever trots att det idag är 50år. Ganska svag doft. Inslag av portvin i smaken. Ingen längre eftersmak men trots det en upplevelse att dricka ett vin från en tid vinpreferenserna var annorlunda från idag

Epic disappointment. Somewhat like a portwine on the nose and palate, but very onedeimensional, without any complexity and with sour fruit. In short: a very poor wine. Did not finish the bottle.

Oldest wine at last night's amarone retrospective. The color is a little faded, with the edge of the glass tending to brown. The nose and palate were still very youthful, however, and there is no indication of the wine having deteriorated. Aromas of plums and fruit cake. Soft tannins and medium to low acidity. Extremely elegant. The producer's notes state that this vintage was bottled in 1984, for a stunning 22 years in the barrel before release! (They don't make them like that anymore...) A very remarkeable wine at 49 years of age. This really proves the incredible ageability of these wines.
