  Colour on the darker side, but more a rich yellow, not surprising for the age.
  Gentle fragrance, sweet peachy fruits, but nothing obviously oxidative. Very clean.
  Medium weight, has some flesh, rounded and smooth. Has lovely sweet fruit, definitely hasn’t lost its character, just that faint aged character to the fruit and a hint of spice. Normally a fairly restrained style so in some ways it has opened up. Definitely a surprise in terms of how taught the flavour profile has kept itself after 37 years, even for this vineyard.

  deep gold, could be orange.
  lightly oxidative but with more of a rich orange-blossom and five-spice nose. very smooth and promising.
  a supple palate, smooth entry and a gentle acidity on the finish, nothing jarring, quite harmonious. honey, baked peaches, apricots, some earthy spice, intriguing. drinking very surprisingly well for its 42 years, amazing really, has none of the feral oxidative characters that an old chardonnay might be expected to have.
