After two flawed bottles, this one is better. Two hour decant. Black cherry, tar, earth and spice come through on the palate. Full bodied with good depth and some residual tannin. Rather monolithic though.

Slow ox for 30 minutes. A little rustic on the nose. Cherry, flowers and earth. The wine is full bodied, fully mature, fairly old school, a little blocky. Cherry, tar, earth, cigar box. Very serious, somewhat four square.

~4 hour decant and this showed quite primary from start to finish. More classic than not with lots of pure cherry, florals and some cigar ash. Polished and smooth, with exceptional balance. Better in 5+ years.

Brett and over the hill. I had a perfectly stored six pack which has had a few bad bottles now.
