Soft, elegant, medium-bodied and fully ready to go, the wine provides ample, smoky, red, tobacco drenched red fruits with earthy nuances from start to finish. Drink this over the next decade for maximum pleasure.

Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2019-05; Bordeaux 2008 vs 2009 (@ My place): Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, cassis, graphite, some smoke and beautiful oak. On the palate delicious and juicy dark berries, with pleasant oak and cedar impressions, good acidity, tannin, depth and length. In its very young maturity stage and already delicious.

Just starting to nibble around the edgaes of the 09's in my cellar...
Medium ruby in appearence with no noticeable lightening.
Pronounced and evolved nose of black fruits, tobacco, vanilla and spice- classic Pessac.
Medium bodied with fully integrated tannins and medium acidity. Savory , delicious and long finish.
This is a great example of a "lesser" wine in a great vintage that drinks well above its price and reputation. Very well done.

Beautiful 2009 that is drinking great now.
Very concentrated with classic Pessac characteristics- black and blue fruits, tobacco , gravel and vanilla.
The concentration, acidity level and long finish imply a long life ahead and this will likely gain some complexity with another 5 years in the bottle.
