Far exceeded expectations at this stage. Not only still put together, but majestic. Dark licorice, cherry, hint of menthol (which I find characteristic of Cayron), just a whiff of tobacco. Herbal spices galore. Like driving through Provence with the windows down. If you still have one, there’s no rush. But now is a mighty fine time too.

My final bottle from six I bought a long time ago. I never expected to hold it this long, but I am glad I did. Round, herbal, still showing dried cherry and plum fruit, it was easy to drink on its own, and made a welcoming partner to dinner. There was a touch of bitterness on the finish that faded over time, replaced by a chalky finish bursting with leather and old, weathered wood notes. This is what I want in a Southern Rhône wine. I wonder if it still exists in the same form.

What a pleasure to see this again, once again, all the boxes checked. Full bodied, creamy, local, sexy, local and charming (I did guess Southern Rhône). When Cayron is good, it is very good, and when it's not - oh well. #from PB#champagnetasting

Young appearing with beautiful nose, floral with dark fruit and initial funk which blew off in the glass. Smooth on the palate with secondary notes, multiple layers and long finish. Very enjoyable. What an enjoyable and, dare I say it, civilized Gigondas.

Absolutely singing tonight, pure joie de vivre; clear cut airy, clean, vibrant - almost a bit petillant - lots of local feel here and a good core of red fruit.< No signs of decline whatsoever #PB
