Note from memory 2-3 weeks later. Lovely Reisling, more mature notes now than last time. Citrus, minerals, some petrol, rich in the mouth, not quite the brilliant acids I remember - which may be the extra maturity or just me. With freshly caught grilse done slowly in the pan.

Brilliant Riesling! Complex, rich aromas full of tropical fruits, citrus and minerals, excellent concentration and mouth feel with brilliant acids and a long, crystal clear finish. As an experiment we tried it with veale that had been cooked on the charcoal grill with asparagus and mushrooms. The match was suprisingly good.

Lovely lemony nose at first; with more air, gun powder and the same brooding dark style which characterizes BattenfeldSpanier's Frauenberg GG 2007. Perfect balance and very nice now. - Little changed on the second day, perhaps slightly more grapey and perfumed.

Golden shiny colour. Rich and complex bouquet with notes of peach, tropical fruit, citrus, flowers and rose petals. On the palate well-structured, with nice citrussy acidity. Dense, concentrated and rich. Long citrussy aftertaste.
