Tasted blind. This is very well made, with nail varnish and patent leather, firm tannins, and plenty of cool black fruit. Surprisingly young - even when it was revealed that it’s a TL Coronas, I was thinking VV, and not the “lowly” Coteaux, quite the monster and needs 5 more years.

Surprisingly open and friendly contrary to expectations at this stage with no remarkable tannic level. Medium in body this is a round and elegant showing with a soft feel and clear round core of dark fruits, liqorice, rose petals and oak. The oak is somewhat dominant on the nose and palate upon opening and only very slowly fades away. This is a solid and pleasing Cornas with limited complexity. I am not sure this will be in for the long run with the relatively mild tannic level and early accesibility of the wine.
