Pale yellow colour. Cork in a perfect condition. Fully scented with ripe citrus aromas such as tangarines or Sicilian lemon. Steely and granitic with notes of salted roasted wheat and dried herbs. All presented in an elegant and precise way. Pure complexity. On the other hand, the palate is somewhat tired, with an aqueous texture that contrasts with the oily density giving a structure at least curious. Good acidity that prolongs the persistence towards a bitter flint aftertaste. Nice deep. A vintage eclipsed by its completion in nine that no one trusts anymore and by the subsequent ones of 2010 and 2012. Surely Preuses is my favourite GC in Chablis.

This wine was amazing and refreshing, and stood out in the midst of First Growth Bordeaux sipping carnage. Hard for me to compare to the red wines consumed; I just know that it was awesome! (Aug. 15, Gates Lodge)

Lovely wine. Truly opens up after 40min or so. Hints of Lemon meringue, green apple and Lilly Pilly flower. Taste goes on and on. I would suggest this is just the beginning of the marvellous grand cru

Still pale. Emerging tropical fruit complex. Steely, mineral background. Grand Cru depth. Should give pleasure indefinitely. Give me this over Meursault any day. (92 -93).

Grand Cru Chablis - shame about the price. A lovely complexity with notes of green apple along with ripe golden delicious, chalk, lemon pith and honeydew. Palate matches nose, slight more tart. Medium plus acidity and finish. Lovely with a roasted chicken and Demi glacé. 91.
Would have another half star if not the price tag. Better value elsewhere.
