Vibrant Deep ruby. Lovely fruit dominated nose with cherries, menthol and chocolate. Smooth palate with plenty of depth and soft tannins. Long finish and very enjoyable.

After 25 years this is still fresh, puse and intense. Excellent focus here. Lots of smooth tannins and higher acidity. Reminds me cabernet sauvignon from Napa mountain vineyards.
Reserved and elegant style. There is not any exaggeration in this wine. At peak it woun't be better

Very solid; string Shiraz tones, but some Cabernet acidity; great value considering excellent vintage ; medium nose, but long finish.

The label on this said both Black Label and Cabernet Sauvignon so I am guessing this is the right wine. This was still in the throes of new oak aging. Lots of wood. Lots of that spicy note that the oak adds. Fruit overshadowed by that. I wonder if it was given more time if the whole would integrate or if this just wasn't meant to quite get there. Not a bad pairing with Korean BBQ and fun to try an old Aussie.
