Drank this vintage four years ago, then it was not ready, acidity to sharp and it felt unbalanced. Today it's a differnet beast, 68 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 32 % Malbec, great structure and refined fruit, blackberries, rasberries and some mocca and tobacco. Great length and just feels like everything is in place. Drink or hold

Sena & Zapata Zoom tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of grilled capsicum bell peppers, violets, dark red plums, blackberries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), high tannins, soft full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fresh leather, dark red cherries, blackberries, blackcurrant with leafiness, tobacco. Long plummy round gentle finish. Good quality. Certainly quite charmingly drinkable but ageable too. 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec.

Tasted this at the Sena & Catena Zapata Vertical Tasting organised by Wine Exchange Asia.
Purple in colour with notes of ripe berries and tobacco qith chewy tannins. Round, gentle and smooth on the palate, though not fully integrated. The cigar notes are very pronounced. Made with less Malbec as compared to the 16 and 18 vintages.
Blend: 17% Malbec & 83% Cabernet Sauvignon
