13.5% alc...decanted for 2 hours...hyper complex nose, earth, baking spices, roasted meat, red dark fruits, cinnamon, iron, loads of earth, top soil...the palate is ready to rumble, tannins are sweet and resolved, great acid, the wine tastes of age and might be less complex on the palate than nose. Glad we consumed now, most likely past the prime window.

The nose was intense, showing dusty black fruit, pepper, blackberry and licorice, yet for all it's intensity, there was a beautiful fresh quality. On the palate, it was dark, ripe and still structured, with blackberry, floral tones, and hints of citrus. The finish turned fresh and clean yet lasted long with remnants of fruit having saturated the senses. What a beautiful wine.

Color was clearly beginning to go brown but flavored were still balanced and fruit was very apparent. Cork almost disintegrated when pulling. Glad I didn't keep this longer.

New world cabernet aromas of sweet red currant. Sweet entry of red currant & red plum that stays sweet on the palate & flows inot soft, yet grippy tannins. Very nice. Tasted blind.

Classic Malbec. Almost too old.
