Sehr empfehlenswert!

Will this wine become better over time? IMHO no. It is right on the peak! A very slight hint of petrol but you cannot guess it's age.. It's full of minerality, well structured and long lasting. Unlike wdrewett I do not taste sweetness in this wine. Certainly great with food but also a perfect compagnion without...

I like this. Nose is a bit faint, but some white fruits & a little tropical/citrus notes are there. Tastes first of those white fruits, but turns into juicy peach flesh coated in tart, acidic pineapple juice. Yum. Crisp yellow fruit finish with medium length.

White fruit (apples, mainly?) and minerals on the nose, but perhaps a tropical fruit element that also comes across as ponderous and sweetish. On the palate, apple along with citrus, refreshing minerality, but a bit sweet and alcoholic to my taste. This is a tasty wine, whatever my reservations, which partly derive from my personal preference for very dry Austrian Rieslings. I'm tempted to wait a while to see what happens with this wine, but I'm also unsure whether it has the backbone to improve significantly over time. At this point, it needs food and shouldn't be drunk alone. Given its sweetness level, I think it would be best with apples, pears, peaches, white grapes, and relatively hard cheeses.

Domäne Wachau tasting: Grown on gneiss and slate. 14,5% alcohol. Ripe tropical fruits on the nose. Good minerality, flintiness. Elegant and complex palate. Some sweetness on the finish. Too young. Very nice wine.
