Community Tasting Notes (average 93 pts. and median of 93 pts. in 6 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by ajefferyhbd@gmail.com on 5/4/2024 & rated 96 points: Outstanding, tropical fruit on nose, great acid supporting the ripe fruit, palate is well rounded, very moorish, could run for another 8 easily (125 views)
Tasted by graemeg on 12/16/2023: {screwcap, 10.7%} Mid yellow with a flash of green still. Grassy, mostly, with lime flavours and medium acid. Bone dry, light-bodied although with plenty of flavour. Even palate. Decent wine, seems like it still needs a fair bit of time to show real real development. Not quite hitting the spot yet but still worthy. (275 views)
Tasted by graemeg on 4/11/2021: {screwcap, 10.7%} Quite a deep green yellow colour. Slightly developed nose of grass and grapefruit, with some vague lime too. The palate has spritzy medium/high acid, natural feeling, flavours of lychee and gentle lime only light in weight but quite intense. It’s not at all unripe, despite the alcohol, but has a cool persistence of flavour, finishing medium in length, bone dry and refreshing. I’d guess best by its tenth birthday, to judge by other Braemores I’ve had. (821 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 5/26/2018 & rated 90 points: Small Winemakers Centre: Herb, lemon and light florals. Good citric acid kick with nice fruit flavour intensity and good length. Plenty of potential. (1394 views)
Tasted by pclin on 2/18/2018: Intense floral nose. Soft and fairly easy on the palate. Good acidity. Lacks complexity though. (1550 views)
Tasted by graemeg on 1/20/2018: Hunter Valley - 4 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 10.7%, $28} I found this to be almost totally neutral in flavour after the younger-drinking wines. Taut & linear; medium acid, light/medium-body. Needs cellar time to develop, but you often don’t have to wait that long, as the 2011 showed. (1493 views)

Braemore

The Braemore vineyard, situated on the sandy alluvial flats of Hermitage Road, consistently produces outstanding semillon featuring freshness, vibrancy and remarkable longevity. This is a traditional Hunter Valley style exhibiting delicate lemon and lime fruit characters intermingled with an attractive grassy complexity, and is supported by a zesty, citrus-like acidity providing a pleasing purity and freshness to the finish. Braemore vineyard is one of the Hunter Valley's most awarded vineyards.
