Tasted by North Willis on 2/21/2024 & rated 90 points: Rich black fruits and alcohol stimulate the nose, and repeat on the palate. Some chalky tannins add some interest to the middle palate and finish. QPR is high. No issues recommending this as an everyday port that will satisfy the itch while waiting for the big ones.
Super long et persistant.
Avec le beau morceau de Stilton...a fait des ravages.
Sublime accord tout indiqué d'ailleurs! (699 views)
Tasted by Everything Ahead on 11/5/2023 & rated 89 points: Had a bit in common with its big brother, the 2018 Taylor Vintage Port, minus that wine's impressive depth. Lots of big, very dark fruits, some pleasant chalky tannic structure, this could actually age a bit. Great value for what it is. Rating: 89+ (688 views)
Tasted by ColinR on 8/31/2023 & rated 88 points: Crimson-purple; prunes, blueberries, black currants; semi-sweet, ripe berry/currant, pruney, medium body, good heat, ripe tannins, nice finish
Nice sweetness and heat but needs more itensity and integration of fruit. (689 views)
Tasted by Fuzzygm on 7/29/2023 & rated 90 points: Obvious sweet start, syrupy texture based like a reduce sweet balsamic vinegar but no acidity. Background of very dark, dominant fruit like blackberry or dark figs. (599 views)
Tasted by Jeffyboy on 6/11/2023 & rated 85 points: no depth really. (317 views)

Taylor (Fladgate)

Producer Website

Taylor's vintage ports are renowned for their massive structure, concentration of flavour and distinctively masculine style. Taylor's Port is also renowned for being amongst the longest lived of all ports.

Robert Parker: "This house must certainly be the Latour of Portugal. Their ports are remarkably backward yet still impressive when young. Of all the vintage ports, those of Taylor need the longest time to mature and even when fully mature seem to have an inner strength and firmness that keep them going for decades."

Port Blend

Over a hundred varieties of grapes (castas) are sanctioned for port production, although only five (Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional) are widely cultivated and used.
