It is always a treat to get together for holidays and wine. This was no exception. My dad kind of went nuts with the meat this year (salmon, ham, and leg of lamb) but it did make for more pairings!
Great showings from all the wines today.
2010 St. Innocent Pinot Blanc Freedom Hill Vineyard 90 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Very pale greenish color. PNP, drank 1+ glasses over an hour. This bottle lacked some of the more tropical notes of the previous one, lots of earth, minerals, stone fruit and citrus on the nose. The palate is light bodied, tart, apple and pear and citrus, prominent acidity, mineral driven finish. Though this have decent fruit it is full of minerals and acidity. 89+ to 90pts.
