Colour: Medium golden colour. Nearly no dossage left.

Flight 2 (1 Note)

  • 2005 Domaine Huet Vouvray Sec Clos du Bourg 90 Points

    France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray

    Colour: Light yellow
Nose: First a lot of confectioner's sugar mixed with vanillin covered the nose. After some time in the glass and with more temperature the wine shows aromas of apricote, ginger, fresh cutten pear, orange and almonds.
Palate: As the label said before this wine is dry. At first it is very flat and without any power but getting better with more time. A nice spicy component on the mid-palate appears. Medium finish.

Flight 3 (2 Notes)

  • 2005 Domaine Huet Vouvray Demi-Sec Clos du Bourg 92 Points

    France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray

    Colour: Light yellow
Nose: Firstly again this very conspicuous mix of confectioner's sugar mixed with vanillin. Then more orange & lemon aromas than in the Sec. Also pear and kumquat.
Palate: The higher sugar level is good for the wine. Give it a bit more roundness & brighter shoulders. Good acidity which keeps everything in balance. Again a nice spicy, ginger note on the mid-palate. Medium+ body. Medium finish.

  • 2002 Domaine Huet Vouvray Demi-Sec Le Haut-Lieu 89 Points

    France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray

Colour: A much darker colour than the Clos du Bourg from the same flight.
Nose: The nose seems to be at a high maturation level. Baked apple and citrus flavours mixed with a lot of honey. You can also recognize a slightly oxidation.
Palate: The wine is nice to drink but nothing with a lot of complexity. Low acidity. Drink up.

  • 1985 Domaine Huet Vouvray Moelleux Le Mont 93 Points

    Colour: Intense, golden colour.
Nose: Pear, a bit of candied apricot, apple, marzipan, a bit of wool and wild honey.
Palate: Very fresh on the palate for a 29 year old wine. Feels incredibly youthful and ready for a long way to go. Nice acidity & moderate sweetness. Lovley mouthfeel. Medium+ finish.
