Salmon tinged colour. Red fruits, lemon, some botanicals and red apple. Has plenty of interest on the nose. Palate leans more ripe than the usual Prevost style, but still has decent cut through. Not quite as thrilling as the other Prevost wine, but I could see this fruit working well in vintages that need that a riper touch.
Apple, smoke, graphite, grass and lemon. Good flavour intensity, like the flow and presence on the palate. Recognisably Sauvignon blanc, but has an extra dimension to it. Lovely.
Toast, spice and white florals on the nose. Good intensity on the palate, freshness remains in tact with nice length. Not complex but in a good spot to drunk now.
Lifted nose - lemon, floral and mineral. Open on the palate with the fruit pure and a good mineral streak to it as well. Nice mouthfeel with the fruit density while retaining overall elegance. Really good.
Violet and roses with some meat and nail polish. Quite powerful on the palate with a lot of acid pushing across the length. Probably needs time to settle, but not yet in sync.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
Earthy, meaty notes with violets as well on the nose. Really well balanced on the palate and the wine unfurls in the glass. Still feels like it has time to go but it's very nice now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin
1216 bottles made. Perfumed nose - violets, cherry, spice and herbs. Sweet and spice driven on the palate. Plenty of fine acidity - still needs a bit of time to come together with the rest of the wine as it is still young. Could be a star with time.
Fruit driven nose - plenty of red and black cherries, raspberry and blackcurrants. Palate is quite well balanced, with a touch of sweetness from the fruit at the edges but good carry and length.
Blind. 24h double decanted. Red fruits, spice and earth, some cola and tobacco on the nopse. Lighter profile on the palate, the acidity kicks in and gives this good verve - the palate doesn't have the same depth as the nose but that may come with time.
Spice, blackcurrant, bramble and blueberries. Grip and structure is still prominent on the palate, sweet and savoury fruit. Very long and intense. Still potent.
Graphite, red berries, spice and cherries on the nose. Still great freshness on the palate, with lovely texture and length. Composed but doesn't hold back on the enjoyment. Plenty of time left but delicious now.
Chocolate, plums, redcurrant and cherry. Sweet red and black fruited palate, plenty of acid cut and a mineral line through the middle that gives it good drive. Still developing.
Tar, spice, charcoal, cherry and redcurrants. Plenty of acidity and tannin on the palate, but has good depth of fruit to counter and bring it nice balance. Give it more time to really show its best I think.
Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino
Oak, pencil shavings, smoke and toasty notes. Plush and full on the palate with plenty of sweetness, the oak adds some backing to keep it in line. Very primary still.
Cocoa, red berries, spice, leather and some gamey notes. Holding up really well on the palate - classic, composed and long. Fully integrated and just delightful to taste.
Pepper, blueberry, floral notes with raspberry as well. Delicate flavour with a lovely texture and flow to it. Well structured but actually surprisingly approachable - no doubt will age further as well.
Bold aromatics - orange peel, intense violets, spice and blueberries. Similar profile on the palate with intensity and depth. Really good length. Still in it's youthful power phase.
Pineapple, lemon, pear and apple on the nose. Intense tropical flavours on the palate, with the Chenin acidity cleansing well. Good length and plenty of enjoyment here.
Pure nose - apple, pear, spice and lemon. Palate has that similar bright and clean profile with lots of sweetness but a retention of the individual fruit character. Long and outright delicious.
